Homo Erectus Skull (40,000 - 50,000 Ya)

Model: AN 3005

$270.00

Bone Clones®. Peking Man. The original reconstruction was prepared in 1937 by the Dr. F. Weidenreeich and Mrs. Lucile Swan from several different individuals found in the caves at Zhoukoudain, China. The skull is somewhat unique in that a rare metopic suture is present along the mid-line of the frontal bone. The recreation offered here is based on the more recent reconstruction by Sawyer and Tatersal of the Museum of Natural History. Here the jaw is more massive, based on male, while the original was based on female.
