This basic unit of 75 rocks and minerals is designed to demonstrate the major rock-forming minerals, minerals in the scale of hardness, minerals to show recognized physical properties, i.e. streak, luster, cleavage and fracture, and specific gravity. The collection includes sections for study of ores of metals, non-metals, and igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. Each collection contains 75 natural specimens, each approximately 1 1/4" x 3/4" which are number coded and in a compartmented container. A study guide to rocks and minerals, streak plate, magnet, and magnifier are also included.
