Shipment can usually be made on the same day the order is placed, if the items are available and orders are received before 12:00 noon, EST. Exceptions are noted in each product description. Online orders placed after this time will be processed and shipped on the following business day. We are closed on weekends.
All pick-up orders must be received in our office at least one day before they are to be picked up. To ensure they are ready, these orders must be received by 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
All transportation charges must be paid by the purchaser. We prepay shipping charges and add the amount the invoice. Orders are packed in the most economical way and shipped using the best method unless otherwise specified. When necessary, containers are charged at cost.
Living and Pershiable Material
Living and perishable material will only be shipped Monday through Thursday, for arrival during the week. You may contact us for an exception, but we cannot guarantee live arrival.
To ensure timely arrival, shipments will be scheduled to arrive within 2 days. If delivery is being made to zones 3, 4 or 5 you must select 2-Day or 1-Day shipping. Selecting ground shipping will delay your order while we attempt to contact you and correct it. Zones 1 and 2 may use the ground option. Next -Day (1-Day) orders must be received by 12:00 Noon EST to go out that day.
It is your responsibility to be sure there is someone prepared to receive and properly care for these items at the time of arrival. If left uncared for, we will not be held responsible.
Keep in mind that we have no control over when your deliveries are made. That is at the discretion of the carrier. Please be aware of your own delivery times and place your orders accordingly. It is best to schedule your deliveries to be made at least one day before you need to use the material.
We do our best to get shipments out on time, but there are times when the situation is out of our control, especially during severe storms when the shipping companies close or re-schedule deliveries. Please understand that we will do our best to get your order to you.
In the event that your school is closed unexpectedly or your circumstances changed after you have place your order, due to bad weather or other issues, it is your responsibility to let us know in time to reschedule shipment. Once shipped, we cannot be held responsible to replace the order.
Hazardous Materials Surcharge
UPS charges an additional handling fee for each package containing items classified as "hazardous" by the U.S. Department of Transportation. When applicable, this fee appears separately on our invoice, in addition to the usual shipping charge.

DO NOT RETURN ANY MERCHANDISE WITHOUT FIRST CONTACTING US. If for any reason you are not satisfied with a product, you may return it to us for a replacement, credit or refund. Returns resulting from an ordering error are subject to a minimum 10% restocking charge with freight prepaid to our establishment. Items must be returned in original box and in resalable condition. Live specimens found to be unsatisfactory upon arrival will be replaced, or a full refund given, if notified within 48 hours. Live delivery to foreign countries is not guaranteed.
