Model: LA 8

$98.50

Lab Kit for 30 students. Explore the human sensory system simply and thoroughly. These activities engender a personal interest as students experiment to identify response areas of their body, and become aware of their sensory perception and the physiological characteristics of body receptors. By experimentation, each student will: "Map" the taste sensations of sweet, salty, bitter and sour; Determine their olfactory fatigue and recovery systems by inhaling different odors; Discover that there are different nerve endings for hot and cold as they "map" a section of skin; Locate nerve endings for touch (pressure), and pain, as well as determining the two-point threshold of various regions of the body; Investigate blind spots, dominant eye, visual accommodation, near point of vision and after-image; Experiment with reflex actions.
