This program presents scientifically accurate information that is also visually and conceptually compelling. Activities provided in the Teacher's Guide are organized around four broad science themes: characteristics of seashore habitats, and adaptations for living there; adaptations and strategies for safety and survival; modes of locomotion; predator-prey relationships, strategies and adaptations for getting food. Students explore each theme through "Scavenger Hunts." Finding different examples that have features in common is another opportunity for students to learn to look at the world the way scientists do.
